まれに (MediaMonkey の更新後など)、Windows が MediaMonkey を信頼できるアプリケーションとして正しく検証できず、動作が停止することがあります (クラッシュしたり、「アクセス拒否」エラーが発生したりすることがあります)。これは、Windows ユーザー アクセス コントロール (UAC) によって MediaMonkey が仮想化環境に移動されたために発生します。この環境では、ファイルと構成設定が想定された場所にないため、MediaMonkey は正しく動作しません。
仮想ディレクトリは次の場所に作成されます:
C:\Users\*現在ログインしている Windows ユーザー*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ には、保護されたストレージ フォルダー「Program Files」、「ProgData」などのアプリケーションの変更がすべて保存されます。
Windows が仮想ディレクトリにファイルを配置しないようにするには、次の手順を実行する必要があります。
- コンピュータにローカル管理者としてログインする
- Windows が作成した新しい仮想ディレクトリ アプリケーション フォルダー (つまり、…\MediaMonkey\) に移動し、右クリックして [プロパティ] > [セキュリティ タブ] > [編集] の順に選択し、ローカル コンピューター (ユーザー) アカウントがリストされていない場合は、それを追加してアクセス許可を [フル コントロール] に設定し、プロパティの最後まで保存します。
- 保存されているすべてのドキュメントまたはファイルを仮想ディレクトリから適切な場所に手動でコピーし、仮想ディレクトリ内のフォルダーの名前に「_old」などを追加して名前を変更します。
- Windows のスタート メニューから、「ローカル セキュリティ ポリシー」を検索して選択します。
- ローカル ポリシーを展開し、セキュリティ オプションをクリックします。右側のペインで一番下までスクロールすると、「ユーザー アカウント制御: ファイルおよびレジストリの書き込みエラーをユーザーごとの場所に仮想化する」という設定があります。その設定をダブルクリックして無効に変更します。
In some rare cases (sometimes following a MediaMonkey update), Windows may not correctly validate MediaMonkey as a trusted application, causing it to stop working (it may crash or result in ‘Access Denied’ errors). This occurs because Windows User Access Controls (UAC) have moved MediaMonkey to a virtualized environment, from which it will fail to operate correctly because files and configuration settings aren’t in their expected locations.
The virtual directory is created at:
C:\Users\*current logged in Windows user*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ where it stores all application changes to protected storage folders like “Program Files”, “ProgData” and others.
To prevent Windows from placing files in the Virtual Directory you should perform these steps:
- Log in as a local administrator on the computer
- Go to the new Virtual Directory application folder that Windows created (i.e. …\MediaMonkey\), then right click > Properties > Security Tab > Edit and if the Local Computer (Users) account is not listed, then add it and set the permissions to Full Control and save all the way out of the properties.
- Manually copy all of the saved documents or files from the Virtual Directory to the proper location and then rename the folder in the Virtual Directory by adding something like ‘_old’ to it.
- From the Windows Start menu, do a search for Local Security Policy and select it.
- Expand Local Policies and click on Security Options. On the right pane, scroll all the way to the bottom and you will find a setting called “User Account Control: Virtualize file and registry write failures to per-user locations”, double-click on that setting and change it to Disabled.
