場合によっては、MediaMonkey for Windows はトラックやメタデータをデバイスに同期しますが、その後デバイスから消えてしまいます。これは、MediaMonkey for Windows がデバイスに書き込むデータに iTunes が干渉した場合に発生することがあります。
- iTunes が MediaMonkey for Windows がデバイスに書き込んだコンテンツを上書きすると、トラックが失われる可能性があります。
- iTunes が MediaMonkey for Windows によって同期されたメタデータを上書きすると、歌詞とアルバム アートが失われる可能性があります。
- iTunes は同期時に再生履歴をリセットするため、再生履歴が失われる可能性があります。

注意: 連絡先/カレンダーデータを同期する場合、iMazingなどのツールを使用するとデータベースが上書きされません。
- iTunes が MediaMonkey for Windows によるデバイスの適切な更新を妨害した場合にも、データが失われることがあります。これを解決するには、MediaMonkey for Windows と同期するときに iTunes を実行しないでください。
iTunes が実行中でなく、同期しないように設定されている場合、MediaMonkey 経由で再度同期して、デバイスのコンテンツを更新してみてください。それでも問題が解決しない場合は、次の手順を実行してください。
- MediaMonkey for Windows の同期リスト (ライブラリ -> デバイス)設定からすべての選択をクリアし、「デバイスから他のファイルとプレイリストを削除する」を有効にします。

In some cases, MediaMonkey for Windows will Sync tracks and/or metadata to your device, but they’re subsequently missing from the device. This can occur if iTunes interferes with data that MediaMonkey for Windows writes to the device:
- Tracks may be lost if iTunes overwrites the content that MediaMonkey for Windows has written to the device.
- Lyrics and Album Art can be lost if iTunes overwrites metadata synced by MediaMonkey for Windows.
- Play History can be lost since iTunes resets it when it syncs.
To prevent all of the above, do not sync music or other content with iTunes. To prevent iTunes from automatically syncing with your iPhone, iPad or iPod when you connect it to your computer, disable automatic syncing in iTunes. You can do so for all devices or for each device individually:
- Disable automatic syncing for all devices: iTunes > Edit > Preferences > check ‘Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically’
- Disable automatic syncing for a device: iTunes > Device button (displays when the device is connected) > Summary > disable ‘Automatically sync when this device is connected’ (in the Options section).
Note: if you want to sync contact/calendar data, using a tool such as iMazing won’t overwrite the database
- Data loss can also occur if iTunes prevents MediaMonkey for Windows from updating the device properly. To solve this, do not run iTunes when syncing with MediaMonkey for Windows.
Once iTunes isn’t running and is configured not to sync, try syncing via MediaMonkey again to update content on the device. If that fails to solve the problem, go through the following steps:
- Clear all selections from MediaMonkey for Windows’s Sync List (Library –> Device) setting and enable ‘Delete other files and playlists from the device’.
- Initiate auto-sync to delete all content from the device.
- Reset the Sync List (Library –> Device) selection as it was originally and re-sync tracks to the device.
